Fantaski

Privacy Policy

Effective and last updated: October 17, 2026.

Fantaski is a free ski-racing prediction game operated by RaceReady. This policy explains how we handle information on fantaski.ai and in the Fantaski iPhone app, including accounts, race picks, private leagues and optional reminders.

1. Who is responsible for your information?

RaceReady is the operator responsible for Fantaski's use of your personal information. For privacy questions or requests, contact Mark Jarvis at mjarvis@burkemtnacademy.org or +1 650-224-1323.

Mail: RaceReady, 552 Alpine Lane, East Burke, Vermont 05832, USA.

2. Information we collect

The app does not request access to your GPS location, address book, camera or microphone. It does not request unrestricted access to your files.

3. How we use information

We use information to create and protect accounts; save and score picks; apply your chosen playing style; operate leagues, matchups and leaderboards; personalize race information; provide requested reminders; respond to support requests; troubleshoot problems; prevent abuse; and meet applicable legal obligations.

The Fantaski AI Bot uses athlete statistics, race history, forecasts and available course information to make predictions. Amazon Bedrock may generate race explanations from supplied race and model evidence. Fantaski also uses your picks and scores to compare your choices and results with the bot. Predictions and explanations can be wrong; they are game information, not guaranteed outcomes. These features do not make decisions about your eligibility for employment, credit or similar services.

Where data-protection law requires a lawful basis, we rely on providing the game you request for core account and gameplay processing; our legitimate interests in security, service reliability and support; consent for optional notifications where required; and legal obligations where applicable. You can withdraw optional notification consent without closing your account.

4. What other players can see

Your player handle, playing-style tag, scores and standings appear in game tables and leaderboards. Picks may be shown to other players once the race starts; we restrict access to other players' picks before the deadline. League participants can see relevant membership, matchup and result information. League administrators can see the email addresses they invite and participation status, but not your notification phone number.

Do not include private information in your player handle or league name. League administrators should only enter email addresses they are authorized to use for invitations. League invitations appear inside Fantaski and can be accepted or declined; this invitation flow does not send email invitations or verification codes.

5. Service providers and other disclosures

We use service providers to operate Fantaski. Amazon Web Services provides authentication, hosting, storage, database services, AI explanations and messaging. Apple processes app distribution and Apple push notifications. Telecommunications providers help deliver optional SMS messages.

Mapbox supplies maps, geocoding and map-related services. Loading maps can disclose your IP address, browser or device details and map usage information to Mapbox. Maps show race venues, not your live GPS position. See Mapbox's privacy policy. External libraries, flag images and linked websites may also receive network information when you load their resources. Their own policies apply to their services.

We do not sell your personal information or share it for third parties' own marketing. Mobile numbers, SMS opt-in information and consent are not shared with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing. We disclose information to providers as needed for the service, to comply with lawful requests, protect rights and safety, investigate abuse, or as part of a business transfer subject to applicable protections.

Fantaski's main application services operate in the United States. Providers may process information in other countries, whose privacy laws may differ from those where you live. Contact us with questions about international processing or applicable transfer protections.

6. Cookies, local storage and downloaded documents

The website and app use browser or app storage, including sign-in tokens and preferences, to maintain your session and operate the game. The iPhone app keeps its web session between launches. You can sign out and use your browser or device controls to clear local data, although doing so may sign you out or reset preferences.

Race documents you download can remain in the app's local document library for offline reading. Exporting a document uses Apple's Files or sharing interface for the destination you choose. Account deletion does not remotely remove documents already downloaded or exported. You can remove exported copies through Files and remove app-local data through your device's app storage controls.

7. Retention and security

We retain account and game information while your account is active and as needed to provide the game. The five active Fantaski Lambda operational log groups have a 30-day retention policy. The shared application database's automated backup retention is seven days. These periods do not describe every provider log, manual backup, support record or consent record.

Some security, support, consent and delivery records may remain as needed to investigate incidents, demonstrate consent, meet legal obligations or resolve disputes. Backup copies are separate from live records and may retain information until the relevant backup expires or is removed. We do not promise that deletion instantly erases every backup or provider-held record. Contact us for information about a particular record or deletion request.

We use HTTPS, authenticated access and access restrictions to protect the service. No system can guarantee absolute security.

8. Your choices and privacy rights

You can change supported profile and gameplay preferences in Settings, decline a league invitation, and turn optional reminders off. Apple notification permission can also be changed in iPhone Settings. Website SMS reminders can be disabled in Fantaski Settings or through an unsubscribe link, or by replying STOP where supported. See the SMS privacy notice and SMS terms for details.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, a copy of, or deletion of personal information; restrict or object to certain processing; withdraw consent; or complain to your local data-protection authority. These rights can have legal exceptions. Email mjarvis@burkemtnacademy.org to make a request. We may verify your identity before acting, but will not ask you to email your password. We will respond as required by applicable law.

9. Deleting your Fantaski account

In the app or website, sign in and open Settings → Delete My Account. Confirm your password and type DELETE. If you cannot access your account, contact support for help.

A successful request removes your active personal profile, picks, personal scores, standing picks, notification details and push registrations. Leagues you administer close and their invitations are removed. Completed matches in other leagues retain anonymous point totals under a deleted-player label, without your identity or picks, so other players keep their results.

Authentication-provider deletion normally completes immediately or within a few minutes if a retry is needed. A hashed account identifier is retained to prevent old sign-in tokens from recreating a deleted account; this is a security record, not a playable profile. Limited records and backup copies may remain as described above. Locally saved or exported documents are not remotely deleted.

10. Children's privacy

Fantaski is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and remove it where appropriate. If a higher minimum age or parental authorization is required by local law, that requirement applies.

11. Changes and contact

We may update this policy as Fantaski changes. We will update the date above and provide additional notice of material changes where required. For questions or requests, contact Mark Jarvis at mjarvis@burkemtnacademy.org, +1 650-224-1323, or the RaceReady postal address above.
